2023 Grief Support Groups

Our hospice bereavement staff recognizes that family members are grieving the death of their loved one. We believe that the best comforters are often those who are also going through their time of grief because they can validate similar grief reactions and suggest what has helped them.

Locations of Grief Support Groups

  • This group is for men who lost their wives. There are two groups: Bloomsburg 1st Thursday morning of each month from 8:30-10:00 AM at Perkins Restaurant, Bloomsburg. Selinsgrove 1st Friday of each month from 8:30 to 10 AM at Perkins in Selinsgrove. To register call 570-971-3213, ask for John.

  • This group is held the first Thursday morning each month from 11:00 AM-Noon. Held at East End Coffee Co, 18 E. Market St., Lewistown.

  • The group is held the second Thursday afternoon each moth from 1:30 to 2:30 PM. This group is being sponsored at the Degenstein Library, 40 South 5th Street, Sunbury. The group meets in their library conference room.

  • Is a monthly meeting for anyone whose loved on has died. It meets the 2nd Friday morning each month from 10:30 AM-Noon. It’s held at the Buchert House on the GMC campus. GPS address is 734 Red Lane, Danville, PA 17821.

  • Is a monthly meeting for anyone whose loved one had died and meets the 3rd Thursday evening each month from 6:30-8:00 PM. It’s held at the Buchert House on the GMC campus. GPS address is 734 Red Lane, Danville, PA, 17821.
